While no politician seems to have escaped the rumor mill, political spectators have honed in on two prominent state leaders who may be positioning themselves for a spot on the Republican ticket.   

The first financial reports of the 2022 Texas Governor’s race show Gov. Abbott with a strong financial lead, but challengers may be able to use time to their advantage.
