In Florida, voters cast ballots every two years in important contests to decide the future of the Sunshine State. With an executive government led by Gov. Ron DeSantis, the state’s top leadership includes several individuals directly elected by Floridians every four years.

Donors in Florida shelled out over $533 million during the 2020 election cycle, showing their support to PACs and candidates through contributions. While a number of PACs and organizations make up the state’s top donor list, the most prolific individual donor chipped in over $3.2 million to various PACs and candidates.

The stakes were particularly high for the 2020 elections, and not just for the presidency. At the state-level, some of the most closely watched races were Democratic efforts to flip swing state legislatures blue and take control of the upcoming redistricting process.
