Where’s the New Campaign Finance Data?
by Transparency USA
07/19/2017

You’ll notice the campaign finance data on our website goes only to March 22, 2017. The reason? That’s the most recent data the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) has released for download.

Earlier this week, on Monday, July 17th, to be exact, the January 1, 2017 – June 30, 2017 semi-annual campaign finance reports were due to the TEC from candidates, officeholders, and PACs. And while this information is available on the TEC’s website, navigating it is rather difficult.

That’s why Transparency Texas will continue to do what we’ve done since our inception: take data that’s confusing and difficult to use and present it in an easy-to-navigate, easy-to-understand format. As soon as the June semi-annual report data is available, we’ll clean it up and let you know.

Make sure you’re signed up to receive an email alerting you when the new campaign finance data is available on our site!
