Texas House District 126 encompasses a northwestern portion of the Greater Houston area, including Klein and Champion.

In 2018, Republican Sam Harless beat Democrat Natali Hurtado by 9.68 percentage points. Hurtado is back for a rematch.

In 2020, Harless once again defeated Hurtado to retain his seat, this time by 6.60 percentage points.
