  6. Charles Robertson – $440,000.00

The number one spot on the Top 10 Donors list is occupied by something called “Aggregated Unitemized Contributions.” So what does that mean? Under Arizona campaign finance rules, candidates are not required to report donor names and related information for contributions under $50 during an election cycle. And this number, at almost three times the total donations of the top individual donor, represents the total amount of small anonymous contributions to state candidates so far this cycle. Combined, these small-dollar donations have an outsized impact on every election.

This list provides a current snapshot from Arizona campaign finance. All numbers on this list reflect giving by these donors to state-level candidates during the 2020 election cycle so far. Click on any donor above to see who their money went to, and how much they gave to each entity. Want to see how these numbers compare to the 2018 cycle? You can see that here. At Transparency USA, you can find accurate, detailed campaign finance data for all state-level donors, candidates and PACs for both the current and previous election cycles.

Arizona’s latest campaign finance reports will be released this month. Subscribe here to see who moves up and down the Top 10 Donor list as we get closer to the election.
