General elections for 17 of 33 seats in the Wisconsin State Senate will take place on Nov. 8, 2022. State senatorial primary elections were held on Aug. 9, 2022. Republicans hold a 21-12 majority heading into the election.

In Wisconsin, a handful of state-level offices were up for election in April 2021. Most prominent among them were the race for Superintendent of Public Instruction and the special election for State Senate District 13. Contributors combined to donate nearly $9 million to candidates, PACs and causes ahead of the spring elections, and these are the donors leading the way.

The For the People Act of 2021—known as H.R. 1 in the House and S.1 in the Senate—was introduced in the US House on January 4 as a primary concern of the Biden administration, and passed in the U.S. House on March 3rd.
