In Virginia politics, non-candidate political action committees (PACs) have received $188.4 million in total donations between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2021. The top 10 PACs raised more than $111.3 million, or 59 percent of all donations made to state-level PACs.

The 2021 election cycle has been no different, with over $146.8 million in contributions already reported by candidates and committees across the state just ahead of this week’s primary elections.
