George Phillips is proud to be running for the Ohio House of Representatives. George brings with him a background in private & public sector business experience, higher education, as well as the non-profit sector in addition to his work as a community volunteer. George's background and education will allow him to be our advocate for our children's educational future as well as ensuring fiscal responsibility for our state.

George is currently serving in his fourth elected term as a member of the Central Committee. George currently works in higher education directing graduate school business programs and serving our nation's veterans to assist them to achieve their higher education goals, as well as an Adjunct Professor of Business. George is also an active volunteer with a non-profit that promotes and presents financial literacy programming in schools for grades K-12. George is the founder of the Burning River Buckets Minor League Professional Basketball Team in Lake County. George spent over a decade in the private sector working in the healthcare and financial services industries.?

George is involved in his community and served as a countywide coordinator for senior citizen services. George worked as a constituent coordinator for 11 elected officials with the inaugural Cuyahoga County Council. He also serves on the Sign Review Board for the City of Willoughby, a Board Member for the Lake County Metropolitan Housing Authority as well as a Board Member of the 1% Foundation and is a voting member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

George has a B.A. in Business Administration, a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus in Public Administration and a Master’s in Organizational Management with a focus in Leadership. He is also a graduate of the Cleveland State Leadership Academy.

In his spare time, George is a National Professional Sports Broadcaster in Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts as well as a Nationally Published Sports Correspondent.
